Summer Crush is a completed visual novel. The game launched on November 25, 2022 with its early episodes and received major content updates in the form of new episodes over several years: Episode 5 on May 16, 2023, Episode 6 on November 25, 2023, Episode 7 on June 27, 2024, and finally Episode 8 on February 7, 2026. The developer explicitly described Episode 8 as "the eighth and final episode" in the February 7, 2026 news post, and the store description confirms the game contains "8 episodes." The developer also apologized for the delay in completing the game and signed off with "But now it's done!" — a clear statement that development is finished. Both DLC items (a support pack and the soundtrack) have been released. No further content has been announced for Summer Crush. The developer has moved on to a separate title, Family Crush, which was announced in January 2025.
