Super Dark Deception launched on July 12, 2024 as the first chapter of a planned multi-chapter game. The store description explicitly states that Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 DLC are both included in the base purchase price and will be delivered for free upon release — a concrete developer commitment to future content baked into the storefront itself.
Chapter 2 shipped on June 13, 2026, fulfilling the first of those two promises. Chapter 3 has not yet been released and remains an outstanding commitment the developer has publicly made. No release date for Chapter 3 has been announced, but the developer's own store page makes clear it is part of the planned content package.
Shortly after the original launch, the developer shipped Patch 1.1 (July 30, 2024) adding difficulty modes and gameplay improvements, Patch 1.2.2 (August 1, 2024) adding rumble support and bug fixes, and a bonus crossover update (July 30, 2024) adding characters from the indie horror game House. The game has been actively maintained since launch and Chapter 2 has now been delivered as promised. Chapter 3 remains the outstanding piece of the originally announced package.

- Hazardous Environments: Enemies are not the only danger. The mazes themselves are full of traps, hazards, and other dangers to watch out for.
- Unique Enemies: Every nightmare presents a unique creature that has its own distinct AI. Players will have to change up their tactics in order to survive.
