Evaluation
Super Hexagon launched on November 27, 2012 as a self-contained minimal action game by solo developer Terry Cavanagh. There has been no post-launch content — no DLC, no expansions, and no announced roadmap for additional content at any point in the game's history. The two developer posts on record are routine store maintenance activities: a 2019 announcement adding Steam trading cards and a 2022 patch improving compatibility with modern hardware and adding Steam Deck verification. Neither post indicates plans for new game content. The May 2022 patch notes even mention 60+ FPS as an "upcoming feature" that was retracted, and no follow-up on that feature has been posted since. The game launched as a complete product and has remained so. The last developer communication was on May 30, 2022.

Important facts about Hexagons:
- Hexagons are third order permutohedrons: The vertices of a hexagon can be formed by permuting the coordinates of the vector (1, 2, 3).
- The north pole of the planet Saturn has a hexagonal storm cloud pattern with 8,600 mile long sides, larger than the diameter of Earth.
- Though hexagon may appear to be a difficult word to rhyme, there are actually dozens of words that rhyme with it. For example: Autobahn, decagon, decathlon, electron, Kyrgzstan, Lebanon, leprechaun and marathon.
