Surgeon Simulator launched on April 19, 2013 and received a notable wave of post-launch content over the years, including expansions and platform ports. The store description notes the game was "updated for 2017" to include the A&E expansion pack — additional procedures, new environments, and updated graphics — which appears to be the last meaningful content addition to the Steam version of the game. A Nintendo Switch version, Surgeon Simulator CPR, launched in September 2018 with motion controls and local co-op, but that was a separate platform release rather than new content for the Steam edition. The most recent news posts from the Bossa Studios channel (through October 2019) are about entirely different games the studio was developing or promoting, with no mention of any new content planned for Surgeon Simulator. There have been no developer communications about Surgeon Simulator updates since 2018, and no unreleased DLC is listed on the store. The game launched as a complete product, received its final content additions by 2017, and has been in a finished state since then.

Taking on the role of Nigel Burke, a would-be surgeon with a penchant for non-conventional tools, perform critical procedures on patients including The Heavy from TF2, an alien with a truly one-of-a-kind anatomical structure, and the 45th President of the United States of America - yes, Mr Donald J Trump, himself!
Known for its diabolically difficult controls (with each finger separately controlled by a different keyboard button), carry out terrifying transplants in theatre, high-pressure procedures along the corridor, and on-the-move operations in the back of a high-speed ambulance. Steady hands? Yeah, that ain’t gonna help!
Updated for 2017, Surgeon Simulator now includes the A&E expansion pack. We’re talking slicker (and often stickier!) graphics, additional procedures, all-new environments, and a (heart) pumping soundtrack.
