Evaluation
Surmount launched on May 2, 2024. On that same day, the developer described the game as done, writing "It feels surreal that we can finally call the game done." Following launch, the team shipped a series of bug fix and minor feature patches through late May 2024, but there have been no major content updates, no roadmap announcements, and no unreleased DLC listed on the store.
The most recent developer communication, posted on September 18, 2025, was an announcement that the developer is now working on an entirely new game called Bibidi Bibidi — a roguelike deckbuilder unrelated to Surmount. This confirms that the developer has moved on from Surmount. There are no outstanding content commitments for Surmount, and no further updates have been communicated since the post-launch bug fix period in May 2024.
The only DLC listed is the Surmount Soundtrack, which was released on launch day. No additional paid or free content has been announced or listed. Surmount launched as a complete, finished product and has received no post-launch content expansions.
