Evaluation

Suspicious Downpour is a very short comedy horror experience (under 30 minutes) that was originally created for a 48-hour game jam in 2021. The store description explicitly acknowledges the short playtime and notes that the game was not designed for multiple playthroughs, framing it as a complete, self-contained experience by design. After its June 21, 2021 launch, the developer shipped two small quality-of-life patches: one on June 30, 2021 adding settings options, and a second on August 11, 2021 adding localization and visual improvements. No further updates have been posted since August 11, 2021, and no future content has ever been announced. The developer has made no statements about additional updates or expansions. This game launched as a finished product from a game jam and has been content-complete since its final patch in August 2021.

Sit in your tent with your trusty flashlight in the calm rain and just relax to the sound of rain hitting your tent. Just be warned you may not be alone in the woods and If you look for trouble you just might find it...

WARNING: Don’t feed the wildlife and don’t pack any meat.

A Note

Suspicious Downpour was originally designed and created in the space of a 48 hour game jam. The overall playtime reflects our short development period as the game can be finished in less than 30 minutes. The story isn't designed for multiple playthroughs however we designed the game with the intention that players can replay the game for the ambience and immersion.

The keyboard is used as a puzzle mechanic as it is intentional that you cannot walk around
