Sword and Fairy Inn 2 launched on July 7, 2022. Prior to release, on July 5, 2022, the developer announced that a free DLC was already in preparation, featuring additional characters from the Sword and Fairy series. That DLC shipped on September 29, 2022 (version 2.0), adding four new characters (Yueqi, Yue Jinzhao, Mingxiu, Ju Shifang), a new furniture customization system, new gear, and additional story content. Between launch and the DLC's release, the developer issued several patches addressing bugs and adding quality-of-life features. After September 29, 2022, there are no further developer communications of any kind — no patches, announcements, or content updates. The game's news history ends entirely at that date. The pre-launch announcement mentioned plans to release "more content in DLC form," but that statement was made before the September 2022 DLC shipped, and the DLC plausibly fulfilled that commitment.
