Take the Throne launched on April 20, 2022 as a free-to-play multiplayer battle royale. It operates on a seasonal model: Season 1 ran from launch, and Season 2 launched on January 19, 2024, bringing a new class (Rogue), new maps, a fully reworked UI, bot fill for lobbies, and new leaderboard systems. The game features in-game currency (crowns) earned through wins that unlock cosmetics, and a broad cosmetic catalog of 60+ skins and 100+ weapons — a structure typical of games designed to run and monetize indefinitely. However, the last developer communication of any kind was on January 19, 2024, when Season 2 launched. As of June 22, 2026, that is more than 29 months without a single post, patch note, or announcement from the developer. For a free-to-play game built around ongoing seasons, this silence is a significant concern. There is no Season 3 announcement, no indication of server status, and no word from TopVR on whether the game is still being actively maintained or supported.
