Evaluation
TAMASHII launched on March 5, 2019 as a short, self-contained puzzle platformer. The developer shipped a bug-fix patch (Update 1.5) on March 28, 2019, which addressed crashes and minor issues. A console port to Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch was announced in December 2019, but this was a port rather than new content for the Steam version.
In March 2021, the developer announced a sequel called Teocida — a separate game with its own Steam page, not additional content for TAMASHII itself.
The most recent developer communication, posted on October 2, 2025, confirms that Vikintor has moved on to two entirely new projects: "Evangelho da Carne (Gospel of Flesh)" and "Val'ty FPS." The post opens with "It's been a long time since Tamashii (and Teocida)," treating both as completed prior works. No new content, updates, or plans for TAMASHII are mentioned anywhere in this post or elsewhere.
TAMASHII launched as a finished, short-form experience. The developer has never announced post-launch content for the Steam version, the only updates were bug fixes in the weeks after launch, and the developer's own communications now treat it as a closed chapter. The game is complete.
Evidence
Developer post from October 2, 2025 references Tamashii as a past completed work and focuses entirely on two new games (Evangelho da Carne and Val'ty FPS). No mention of any future content for Tamashii.
Update 1.5 released on March 28, 2019 — a bug-fix patch addressing crashes and minor issues. This is the last content update to the game.
