Evaluation

Teardown launched into Early Access and reached its 1.0 release on April 21, 2022. Since then, Tuxedo Labs has maintained a consistent cadence of major paid DLC expansions: Time Campers (November 15, 2023), Folkrace (June 19, 2024), The Greenwash Gambit (June 24, 2025), and Relics of Barkuna (June 10, 2026) — roughly one major expansion per year. On top of the DLC releases, a substantial free multiplayer update launched on March 12, 2026, adding full co-op campaign support for up to 12 players and four competitive game modes. Most recently, on August 18, 2026 — just one day before today — the developers shipped an update bringing full multiplayer support to the Greenwash Gambit DLC campaign. The developer explicitly stated in their February 26, 2026 multiplayer announcement that "a brand-new multiplayer racing experience" is planned for release later in 2026, which remains an outstanding commitment that has not yet shipped. The Relics of Barkuna launch post (June 10, 2026) also noted that the developers are looking into adapting that DLC for multiplayer. Both signals confirm the team is actively working on additional content. With development activity as recently as August 18, 2026 and announced content still on the horizon, the game is clearly in an ongoing phase of active post-launch expansion.
