Terraformers: First Steps on Mars

Terraformers: First Steps on Mars is a free standalone prologue for the base game Terraformers. It launched on October 23, 2021, and received several patches through early 2022 to fix bugs and improve balance. On March 9, 2023, coinciding with the release of the full Terraformers game (App ID 1244800), the developer shipped a major overhaul update to bring the prologue up to parity with the full game's quality. A small follow-up bug fix was released on March 11, 2023. Since then, no further updates or communications have been posted for this prologue. The game's purpose is inherently limited in scope — it is explicitly described as a "free prologue" and a sampler for the full Terraformers game, not a standalone product with its own ongoing content roadmap. The March 2023 update represents a natural conclusion point: the developer polished the prologue to match the full game's launch standard, then directed players toward the paid game. The sole DLC, the Supporter Pack (released October 23, 2021), is a cosmetic/bonus content bundle and has been available since launch. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, and no developer communications after March 11, 2023.
