The Advisor - Episode 1: Royal Pain

The Advisor - Episode 1: Royal Pain launched on May 31, 2021 as the first installment of a planned episodic series. The store description is explicit: after completing the game, players vote on how they want the story to continue, and "future episodes will be written due to YOUR decision making." Players are also promised credits in future episodes. This is a direct developer commitment to releasing additional episodes beyond Episode 1. However, since launch in May 2021, no Episode 2 has been announced or released. All of Randumb Studios' post-launch communications have focused entirely on other titles in their catalog — The Test Series, The Journey Series, the Fateweaver Series, A Work of Art, and others. The developer is clearly still active as a studio, with their most recent announcement dating to December 19, 2025, but The Advisor series has received no mentions whatsoever since the launch day post. The studio has shipped a large number of other games in the intervening years (2022–2025), so the silence on The Advisor specifically — now spanning over four years — raises genuine questions about whether the promised future episodes are still in development. The original premise of the episodic series remains unfulfilled, but the developer has not formally cancelled it or stated it is complete.
