The Callisto Protocol launched on December 1, 2022 and received a structured post-launch content campaign through its Season Pass. That pass delivered four content drops: the Contagion Bundle (March 14, 2023), the Outer Way Skin Collection (February 7, 2023), the Riot Bundle (May 23, 2023), and the story expansion Final Transmission (June 29, 2023). Final Transmission was marketed as a concluding story chapter — "one last job" — wrapping up the game's narrative. After that, the only remaining activity was a December 20, 2023 update that made previously exclusive cosmetic skins (Gore, Snake, Biophage) free for all owners — a gesture typically associated with a game winding down its active support. All eight DLC items listed on the store are marked as released, and the Season Pass has been fully fulfilled. The last developer communication of any kind was the July 17, 2023 bug fix patch, followed by the December 20, 2023 skin giveaway post. There have been no announcements, roadmaps, or developer communications indicating additional content since December 2023. The game shipped as a complete narrative experience, the Season Pass content has fully delivered, and no further content has been signaled.

About this game
In this narrative-driven, third-person survival horror game set 300 years in the future, the player will take on the role of Jacob Lee – a victim of fate thrown into Black Iron Prison, a maximum-security penitentiary located on Jupiter's moon, Callisto. When inmates begin to transform into monstrous creatures, the prison is thrown into chaos. To survive, Jacob must battle his way to safety to escape Black Iron Prison, while uncovering the dark and disturbing secrets buried beneath the surface of Callisto. Using a unique blend of shooting and close-quarters combat, Jacob will need to adapt his tactics to combat the rapidly evolving creatures while scavenging to unlock new weapons, gear, and abilities to outrun the growing threat and escape the horrors of Jupiter's Dead Moon.
