The Chrono Jotter

The Chrono Jotter is a completed visual novel that launched on August 25, 2021. The two-person development team at Orca Layout shipped the game as a finished narrative experience. Post-launch activity has consisted of bug fix patches (September 2021), Steam trading card support (May 2022), and an improved English translation (initially released June 2023, then refined and updated March 2024) — all maintenance and quality-of-life work rather than new story content. The only DLC ever released is the original soundtrack, which shipped on September 16, 2021. There are no unreleased DLC items listed on the store. A June 2022 news post announced an afterstory companion book (《回溯依存-后日谈-》) available on an external Chinese crowdfunding platform, with a note that it "may come to Steam in the future but needs some time to prepare." That content never appeared on Steam, and the developer made no further mention of it. This is the only signal that could suggest additional content, but it was never formally announced for Steam and was not followed up on. The August 2025 post promoting a bundle with a separate game, Raining City: Millions Recollections, is marketing for that other title — it is not new content for The Chrono Jotter itself. There has been no developer statement announcing future content for The Chrono Jotter, no roadmap, and no unreleased DLC. The game launched as a self-contained story and has remained so. The most recent communication touching on the game's own content was the March 2024 translation update.
