The Coffin of Andy and Leyley

The Coffin of Andy and Leyley has been in Early Access since October 13, 2023. The game launched with Episodes 1 and 2, and Episode 3: Decay (part 1/2) was released on April 1, 2025. The story is structured across multiple branching episodes, and several remain unfinished: Episode 4 (Decay part 2/2) is fully written and in development, and Episode 3: Burial is fully written but had not yet entered production as of March 2026. The April 1, 2026 developer update announced a shift in strategy — all remaining routes are now being developed simultaneously, with whichever finishes first becoming the next major update, and the developer indicated that "Burial" was looking most likely to release next. A follow-up announcement with a specific release date was promised. However, on July 1, 2026, the developer posted that development has been paused due to legal matters related to unauthorized use of their intellectual property. They confirmed that the next update was going to be Burial, and that its development had been progressing well, but that they cannot address the legal situation and continue developing simultaneously. The developer acknowledged the delay "could take a while" and apologized for being unable to provide the release date announcement they had promised. They expressed intent to resume development once the legal situation is resolved, and shared teaser images and a video preview of Burial as consolation. The game is still purchasable and the developer remains communicative, but the development timeline is now uncertain due to the ongoing legal dispute.
