The Darkside Detective launched on July 27, 2017 as the first entry in a comedic point-and-click adventure series. The store description explicitly calls this the "COMPLETE SEASON ONE collection," indicating the full season of content has been delivered. A free Christmas bonus case ("Buy Hard") was added on December 22, 2017, which appears to have been the final content addition to this game. The developer, Spooky Doorway, has since moved on to create sequels and new projects. The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (the second game in the series) launched on April 15, 2021.
