The Dawn is Inevitable

The Dawn is Inevitable is an interactive novel that launched on Steam in Early Access on March 31, 2023, releasing only Chapter 1 of what the developer described as a two-chapter story with an epilogue. In a pre-launch announcement on March 12, 2023, the developer explicitly restructured their original three-chapter plan into two chapters plus an epilogue, promising that the full story would be delivered through this format. After launch, the developer was active through 2023 — shipping several feature patches improving animations, character art, and audio, as well as fixing bugs. However, since December 29, 2023, there have been no further posts, updates, or announcements from the developer — a silence of over 18 months as of June 2026. Chapter 2 and the epilogue remain undelivered, and the game is still listed as Early Access. The developer has not communicated any explanation for the extended silence, nor have they indicated the project has been cancelled or completed. English localization, which was also promised at launch, also remains absent from the store description. Given the outstanding commitments (Chapter 2 and epilogue) and the prolonged silence from the developer well beyond their previously active communication pattern, the status of this game's ongoing development is uncertain.
