The Enchanted Cave 2

The Enchanted Cave 2 launched on June 3, 2015 as a complete, self-contained RPG/roguelike. The developer shipped one major content expansion — the "MEGA UPDATE" (Version 3.0) on May 2, 2018 — which added challenge game modes, new heroes, items, monsters, full controller support, and achievements. In the announcement post for that update, the developer explicitly described it as "a more complete conclusion to the development process," stating that the game would "now feature everything plus more that was originally envisioned." This is a clear developer statement that the game's content vision had been fulfilled. Following the MEGA UPDATE, subsequent patches addressed bug fixes and stability (versions 3.11 through 3.18 in 2018, and a stability patch in January 2021). The most recent post, from August 27, 2025, is a small feature patch that fixed enemy scaling in New Game+ and updated the save import/export system for cross-platform compatibility with Android and iOS — maintenance work rather than new content. There is no announced DLC, no roadmap for future content, and no unreleased DLC listings on the store. The store description markets the game as a "full premium version" complete with all its features. With the developer's own declaration in 2018 that the game had reached its intended complete state, and no subsequent content commitments, the game is considered content-complete as of the MEGA UPDATE's release on May 2, 2018.
