The Endless Journey launched on January 18, 2018 as a complete 44-stage puzzle game. In the months following launch, the developer released several patches addressing translations, white screen bugs, and adding quality-of-life features like a hints system and mini-game skipping. A December 2018 FAQ post confirmed that the promised four animal pictures and achievements update was still planned as free content.
The Picture Book DLC shipped on February 4, 2019, delivering exactly what was promised: four audio picture books, CG artwork, new ending animations, and the four animal-themed achievements. This fulfilled all outstanding commitments the developer had communicated. Both DLC items (the OST and the Picture Book) are released, and no additional content has been announced.
The most recent news post from September 28, 2020 was an announcement for the developer's entirely separate new game, "My Vow to My Liege" — it contained no mention of further plans for The Endless Journey. There have been no developer communications about this game since that date. With all announced content delivered and no post-launch update cadence pointing to more releases, the game is complete as of the Picture Book DLC release on February 4, 2019.

3 songs and more than 10 BGM tracks specially composed for the game by independent musician TetraCalyx.

Mr. Valjean：
Wandering around the world for secret reasons. The former genius magician has now become an optimistic guy with little directional sense and unreliable talents who lives on good machinery skills.
Cosette：
A puppet made by Mr. Valjean, which seems to have demonstrated his real competence. It is pure mechanical driven without the use of a magic core.
Eponine：
A doll made from cloth, cotton, thread, and a human soul, which can more or less remedy the fallibility of Mr. Valjean.
