The Gardens Between launched on September 19, 2018 as a self-contained, narrative-driven puzzle game. Its only DLC is a standalone soundtrack released the following day on September 20, 2018. No additional story content, expansions, or updates to the base game have been released in the years since launch. On June 5, 2025, The Voxel Agents announced Hidden Memories of The Gardens Between — a ground-up VR reimagining with new story content and over 40 new puzzles. Crucially, this is an entirely separate product with its own Steam App ID (3084870), not a DLC or update to the base game. It does not represent new content coming to this version of The Gardens Between. The base game launched as a complete, finished experience and has remained so throughout its lifetime. Anyone waiting for all content in this specific game has had the full experience available since September 2018.
