(the) Gnorp Apologue

The Gnorp Apologue launched on December 14, 2023 and has been receiving consistent post-launch support from its solo developer, Myco. The developer has publicly committed to a free expansion called the Epilogue Expansion, which adds an entirely new game mode with overhauled mechanics, a largely new talent set, new buildings, new units, and a new ending that concludes the story of the game. The most recent developer communication is a detailed update post from June 25, 2026 (NEWS-1), covering the current state of the Epilogue Expansion. In it, Myco describes resolving a design headache around a new Augments system, explains the Space Travel mechanic (sending gnorps to space in exchange for recycled housing materials), introduces the Zookagnorp unit, and reveals the Antigravity Machine building. The developer notes that the list of remaining tasks is shrinking and that public playtesting is "nearing" but has not yet been announced. This is a direct, detailed, and recent developer communication confirming the Epilogue is still in development as of June 25, 2026. Prior updates throughout 2025 documented the Ring mechanic (May 9, 2025), the Party Pad building (June 26, 2025), the overhaul of the talent tree to mostly new talents (December 12, 2025), and ongoing balance work on the base game. The developer's September 2024 roadmap also outlined "Gnorps in Space" as a planned future free expansion following the Epilogue, along with a third unnamed project. The developer has acknowledged missing self-imposed deadlines but has consistently communicated continued progress. There is no statement indicating development is concluding — quite the opposite. The game remains actively supported with more content explicitly on the way.
