The Graveyard
Released Mar 2009
The Graveyard is a very short computer game. You play an old lady who visits a graveyard. You walk around, sit on a bench and listen to a song. It's more like an explorable painting than an actual game. An experiment with poetry and storytelling but without words.

Evaluation
The Graveyard is a deliberately minimal interactive art piece released on March 9, 2009. The store description is explicit about the game's scope: it is a "very short computer game" described as "more like an explorable painting than an actual game." The only distinction between the free trial and the paid version is the possibility of the old lady dying during play — no additional content, systems, or expansions have ever been part of the product's design. The developer, Tale of Tales, has not posted any updates related to The Graveyard itself since its 2009 launch. Their studio news posts from 2014–2016 reference entirely separate projects: a new game called Sunset (announced June 3, 2014), a post-game art Kickstarter called Cathedral in the Clouds (October 22, 2015), and a remake campaign for their other game, The Endless Forest (December 14, 2016). None of these communications reference The Graveyard or suggest any plans to add content to it. The game launched as a complete, intentionally finite experience and has remained so. No DLC was ever listed, no roadmap was ever published, and the developer has never indicated any intent to expand the game.
Evidence
Store description defines the full extent of the game: an old lady walks through a graveyard, sits on a bench, and listens to a song. The only difference between the free and paid version is a chance of death occurring. No further content is described or implied.
Tale of Tales announces a remake campaign for The Endless Forest, a different game. The Graveyard is not mentioned. Last known studio communication on Steam.

Buying the full version of The Graveyard adds only one feature, the possibility of death. The full version of the game is exactly the same as the trial, except, every time you play she may die.
