The Inheritance of Crimson Manor launched on May 5, 2022 as a self-contained gothic horror puzzle game. After release, the developer shipped a feature-rich anniversary update on April 24, 2023 (Version 1.1) adding new localizations, controller support, and quality-of-life improvements. On February 28, 2025, they released two supplementary DLC items: an official comic book and a soundtrack — both of which are now available. No further DLC or content has been announced for this title.
The developer's focus has clearly shifted to new projects. On July 26, 2025, they announced a new cyberpunk puzzle game called Memento Machinam. Then on February 2, 2026, they announced Escape From Crimson Manor — a cooperative prequel set in the same universe but released as a separate, standalone game. A Steam Next Fest demo for that prequel ran in February 2026. Neither of these announcements indicates any new content planned for The Inheritance of Crimson Manor itself.
The game launched as a complete, story-driven single-player experience, received post-launch polish and additions, and its two DLC items (soundtrack and comic book) have both shipped. The developer has moved on to new titles, with no outstanding commitments or announced content remaining for this game.
