The Invincible

The Invincible launched on November 6, 2023 as a complete, story-driven adventure game. Following release, Starward Industries delivered a series of post-launch updates through early 2025: a first patch in December 2023 adding quality-of-life features, update 1.1.7 in March 2024, the Voyager Update in May 2024 adding exploration enhancements and new story slides, the Chameleon Update (1.3) in June 2024 adding rover customization, the New Horizon Update (1.4) in September 2024 adding Japanese localization, the Retro Zone update (1.5) in October 2024 featuring a Pacific Drive crossover, and finally the "One For All" update on January 20, 2025. The two DLC items — an original soundtrack and an art book/comic book — both released on the game's launch date and are fully available. Since January 20, 2025, Starward Industries' communications have shifted almost entirely toward their next game, Into the Fire. An April 2025 post announcing Into the Fire's gameplay trailer included a brief note that "we didn't forget about The Invincible and that we are working on a new update for you to enjoy soon," suggesting one more update was in progress at that time. However, by late 2025, studio communications focused exclusively on Into the Fire playtests (November and December 2025 posts), with no further mention of any pending Invincible update. The teased update was never announced as a named release or shown in any subsequent communication, and the studio has not referenced it since April 2025. Given that the update was described vaguely and no follow-up was made across more than a year of subsequent posts, the most reasonable reading is that if it shipped, it did so quietly as a minor patch. The game is a finished, self-contained narrative experience with 11 possible endings. All DLC has been released. The developer's attention has fully moved on to their next project. The January 20, 2025 "One For All" update represents the last confirmed substantive content release.
