The Island: Into The Mist launched on January 31, 2019 as a complete, self-contained adventure game. The store description details a fully realized product with defined endings (15 Bad Endings and 7 Survival Endings), 6 storylines, and full Korean voice acting — all hallmarks of a finished narrative game shipped as a complete package.
Post-launch activity was minimal and cosmetic: Steam Trading Cards were added on March 5, 2019, and a COVID-19 solidarity sale was run in April 2020. Neither of these represents new game content. The last developer communication of any kind was on April 2, 2020. No roadmaps, DLC announcements, or future content of any kind were ever communicated after launch. Members decide to help the survivors by towing the damaged ship to the closest island.
After spending a night at an abandoned island, members start to realize that they got into the worst situation they could ever possibly confront…
