The Land Beneath Us launched on May 13, 2024 and has received a steady stream of updates ever since. Four major content drops have shipped post-launch: the initial release (May 13, 2024), the Purple Moon Update adding a new post-game challenge mode (December 11, 2024), the Patch 1.8.4 update adding a new hidden boss to Purple Moon mode (March 6, 2025), and the Blessing & Curse pack adding new weapons, relics, chips, and a quest to the Soul Shard Shop (June 26, 2025). Beyond these major drops, the developer has continued shipping feature patches and bug fixes, including a new save/continue system on October 16, 2025, a security update on October 10, 2025, and a balancing and fixes patch on February 3, 2026. The most recent developer communication was on February 3, 2026. The developer has not announced any future content by name, nor have they stated that development is complete. Given the consistent pattern of substantial updates roughly every three to six months since launch, the game appears to be in ongoing, active post-launch development.
