The List launched on June 30, 2021 as a self-contained narrative adventure game by solo developer Dan Trimble. In August 2021, the developer reflected on the game's reception and mentioned working on a new, separate project — but made no promises of additional content for The List itself. The only post-launch update to The List was a file size optimization patch in February 2023. The developer's attention moved fully to a new game, The Appraiser, which was announced in May 2022. There is no DLC, no roadmap, and no developer statement indicating any additional content was ever planned for The List. The game launched as a complete, self-contained story and has remained that way.

What is The List?

The List tells the story of Jordan Grady. Attacked at a bus station, Grady killed his would-be killer in self defense. Grady is interviewed by the police for 5 days after finding a list of names on the unknown killer which included Grady's. Unable to find any connections or motives, he is let go only to be killed the following week. 3 years have passed. You are a special agent from Santa Fe investigating the Grady Case to put it to rest once and for all.
