The Matchless Kungfu launched on November 5, 2024 and has been under sustained active development ever since. The developer has shipped two major named updates post-launch: Version 1.2 on April 24, 2025, which introduced a full beast battle and pet training system along with new storylines, and Version 1.3 on July 1, 2025, which overhauled the game's core world map with a seamless open-world Great Wilderness and rebuilt major portions of the main storyline. Version 1.3 was then fully merged into the default branch on September 29, 2025. Between and after these major releases, the developer has continued shipping substantial feature patches — most recently Version 1.4.1.0 on December 19, 2025 — adding new birthplace selection, additional main storyline content, a lockpicking minigame, and a reworked Karma system. The Version 1.3 announcement explicitly noted that more sect features and NPC combat/evolution content would be added in future updates, indicating ongoing planned development. No announcement of a final update or end of development has been made. The established cadence between major releases is roughly 2–4 months (Version 1.2 in April 2025, Version 1.3 in July 2025), with the last developer communication dated December 19, 2025. As of October 1, 2026, approximately 9.5 months have passed since the last update — this exceeds the historical cadence window, but given the game's consistent pattern of delivering large, complex updates and the lack of any developer statement signalling an end to development, this silence warrants monitoring rather than a firm conclusion that development has ceased. The developer has made no statement indicating the game is complete.

The Meridian system allows you to run different kinds of Inner Kungfu, provides various buffs, and ways to deal with inner wounds, hidden diseases, illness and other debuffs. You will “run yourself” like those heroes does in Wuxia novels!
