About this game

The Night Walk is a short, reflective first-person experience set in a moonlit, fog-covered park. Walk at your own pace, choose emotional paths, and discover small things along the way.

There is no danger waiting in the dark—only branching paths, passing thoughts, and the quiet rhythm of gravel beneath your feet.

Follow your own thoughts

At each fork, choose a path shaped by hope, regret, emptiness, acceptance, peace, or letting go. Each route brings its own reflections, while changes in the trees, light, and fog give the journey a different feeling.

Return another night and see where a different choice leads.

A park that notices you

Collect mushrooms beside the trails, discover owls among the trees, and disturb the lamps lining the paths.

These small encounters are optional, waiting for anyone who takes a closer look.

Music for the walk

Discover cassette tapes and unlock songs for your Walkman, including music created especially for The Night Walk by professional musician Anelie M.

Choose a track to accompany your journey, or pause the music and listen to the park: gravel footsteps and the subdued sounds of the night.

A walk without pressure

Rest on a bench, sit with a reflection, or open your illustrated journal to revisit your discoveries and small milestones.

There are no fail states or required objectives. Collecting and Steam achievements are optional. Explore along and beside the paths, or let automatic walking carry you forward, using keyboard and mouse or a controller.

Stay for a few minutes or continue until the night has said enough.

Give your thoughts somewhere to go.
