The Purring Quest is a 2D adventure platformer from Valhalla Cats that launched on November 12, 2015. The only DLC released for the game was the Original Soundtrack, which shipped on December 3, 2015. No additional content for The Purring Quest itself has ever been announced or released.
Since 2016, Valhalla Cats has been focused entirely on their follow-up project, Stars in the Trash, which launched on Steam on December 9, 2024, and has since received a Nintendo Switch release (December 2025) and a free companion game, Kimchi: A Stars in the Trash Story (August 7, 2025). All developer news posted under The Purring Quest's Steam page from 2016 onward relates exclusively to Stars in the Trash — the studio's new game, not new content for The Purring Quest.
The Purring Quest launched as a complete, self-contained game and has never had any post-launch content beyond its soundtrack DLC. No roadmap, future DLC, or expansion has ever been announced. The game shipped as a finished product and has been content-complete since the soundtrack released in December 2015.
