The Roast is in Steam Early Access, which launched on January 21, 2026. At launch the developer said the game would keep expanding, with more content and features driven by player feedback alongside performance and quality-of-life work. Major updates have followed steadily: the Decoration and Customisation Expansion on February 27, 2026, the Staff System on May 12, 2026, the decoration and café appeal overhaul on July 31, 2026, the Business Loans and ATM update on August 12, 2026, the Syrup and Iced Coffee update on September 11, 2026, and the controller support overhaul in Update 0.14.0 on October 2, 2026, with smaller feature and fix patches in between. The October 2, 2026 update credits player reviews with supporting the game's continued development. The game has not yet reached a full 1.0 release.
