The Scouring launched into Early Access on August 12, 2025, and Orc Group has maintained an exceptionally active development pace across the full year since launch. Three major content updates have shipped in the tracked news period alone: air units including the Overseer and Devourer (December 18, 2025), the large "Update 1" bringing the Human Ballista, Heroes rework, and Gold Stashes (March 19, 2026), and the Naval Update adding four naval maps and a Challenges system (June 20, 2026). Alongside these, the studio has shipped a continuous stream of feature patches — most recently adding full controller support on July 13, 2026 and balance/QoL improvements on August 5, 2026. On July 30, 2026, Orc Group published a one-year Early Access anniversary post that refreshed the public roadmap with "the latest priorities and timelines," explicitly citing campaign progress and new features still to come.
