The Signifier Director's Cut

The Signifier launched on October 15, 2020 as a complete narrative adventure game. Shortly after release, the developer announced plans for a Director's Cut — a free update featuring expanded story content, new endings, improved performance, and other refinements — which was delivered on April 22, 2021. The store description explicitly describes the Director's Cut as "the ultimate expression of the Signifier" and a complete package. The developer's own post at the time of the Director's Cut announcement (December 2020) described it as the definitive vision for the game, and the April 2021 launch post framed it as the conclusion of that vision. Following a small bug-fix patch in late April 2021, no further content updates, announcements, or developer communications have appeared in the news history. The game has a single released DLC (the official soundtrack, available since launch), with no unreleased DLC listed. The developer has not announced any additional content beyond the Director's Cut. The last developer communication was the patch notes post on April 29, 2021. Given that the Director's Cut was explicitly framed as the game's final, complete form — and no subsequent content has been announced or hinted at in the years since — the game is considered content-complete as of April 22, 2021.
