The Test

The Test launched on February 24, 2020 as the first entry in Randumb Studios' ongoing "Test Series." The developer has continued updating this game alongside new series releases, treating the original title as a living product rather than a finished standalone experience. The series has maintained a consistent release cadence: major installments have shipped approximately every 6–12 months, including The Test: Reality Check on February 26, 2025, and The Test: Reimagined on February 9, 2026 — described as the eighth installment and "the most in-depth project we've built thus far." Each new series launch has been accompanied by updates to older titles, including this one: the February 2026 launch post explicitly notes updates to all previous Test titles. In December 2025, the developer stated they have "lots of fun things in the works coming in 2026," indicating forward momentum beyond the most recent release. As of October 8, 2026, the last developer communication was on February 9, 2026 — approximately eight months ago. Given the established 6–12 month cadence between major releases, we are at the outer edge of the historical window, but no completion or wind-down statement has been made. The developer has never indicated this series or this title is finished.
