The Testament of Sherlock Holmes

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes is a standalone adventure game that launched on September 25, 2012 as a complete, self-contained experience. The store description presents it as a finished narrative product with no mention of DLC, expansions, or ongoing content. There is no DLC listed for this specific title. The developer news associated with this Steam page largely concerns other Frogwares titles — most notably Sherlock Holmes Chapter One and the Sherlock Holmes The Awakened remake — with posts appearing on this page likely because Frogwares uses it as a general communication channel for their catalogue. The only updates directly relevant to The Testament of Sherlock Holmes are a pair of compatibility patches released in April–May 2021 (fixing startup and save issues on Windows 10) and a July 2023 update adding four new languages (Ukrainian, Brazilian Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese) along with a corrupted save file fix. These post-launch updates are purely maintenance in nature — compatibility fixes and localization additions — with no new gameplay content, expansions, or story content introduced. No future content has ever been announced for this title, and the developer has never communicated any plans to extend the game beyond its original release. The game launched as a finished product in 2012 and has remained so, with occasional technical upkeep keeping it functional on modern systems.
