The Tower originally launched on August 4, 2014 and received a major remaster update on August 14, 2015, branded as "The Tower: 2015 Edition." The store description and the 2015 update both mention "frequent episodic content" and features like Purgatory Mode and Oculus Rift support as planned additions — but these were promises made in 2014–2015. The last developer communication of any kind was on August 14, 2015, over a decade ago as of June 2026. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no post-2015 news posts, no roadmaps, and no announcements of any further content or updates. The developer had already acknowledged in April 2015 that they had gone dark for months and pledged more transparency going forward — but the 2015 edition update appears to have been the final activity from the studio.
