The WereCleaner

The WereCleaner launched on May 7, 2024 as a free-to-play stealth-comedy game from student developer Howlin' Hugs. After launch, the team shipped platform ports (iOS, Mac, Android), bug fixes, and a free soundtrack — but explicitly stated as early as July 13, 2024 that they were "unable to make more game content at this time." On November 16, 2025, the developer posted a final announcement confirming the game's journey has ended. They explained that after spending the spring and summer of 2025 attempting to secure a publisher deal for a second game and failing, the team is winding down, with members moving on to other jobs and projects. The post explicitly states "things are winding down with the game" and "that marks the end of Kyle's journey for now," with no plans for further content. This is a clear, direct developer statement that development is complete. The only DLC ever released was the free soundtrack (January 30, 2025), which was already telegraphed in the July 2024 post as an upcoming extra. No further content was ever announced or remains unreleased.
