There Was A Caveman launched on October 8, 2015 as a complete, self-contained action platformer. In the days immediately following launch, the developer pushed a hotfix patch and added achievement support (October 11, 2015). There is no DLC, no season pass, no roadmap, and no announcements of future content for this game. The developer's subsequent news posts — from November 2016 onward — are entirely announcements about separate games the developer released (The Dark Within, The Inner Darkness, and Bacon Rebellion), not updates or additions to There Was A Caveman. The last communication of any kind referencing this game's own content was on October 11, 2015. The game shipped as a finished product and has received no post-launch content beyond those initial days-one patches.

There Was A Caveman is a prehistoric themed, retro styled, action platformer. Get ready to die and die a lot.
The world has been overrun by dinosaurs. The last living caveman, is left alone in his cave, with every other living thing he knew dead. But he does not want to give up the world to these ferocious beasts. So with what little hope he has left, he will venture out of his caves, to find the only thing, that could save the world as he knows it - A female specimen to rebuild the cavemen civilization. But doing that won't be easy as the world is full of these dangerous creatures and other deadly hazards!
