Evaluation
Thunder Spikes Volleyball entered Steam Early Access on October 29, 2025 and remains explicitly in that phase, meaning the developer still considers it a work in progress. Since launch, the game has received a steady stream of updates. A feature patch in December 2025 (v0.6.6) overhauled the skill badge system and receiving mechanics. Then on May 29, 2026, the developer shipped what they called their "biggest update yet" — Career Mode — adding player growth, a transfer market, stamina and injury systems, promotion/relegation, and full team finance management. Most recently, on September 15, 2026, the developer released another major update (v0.8.0) introducing a full Co-op mode supporting up to four players, Steam Achievements, Leaderboard improvements, and a large number of UI and localization fixes. The developer noted in the September 2026 post that their updates may not be frequent, but when they release one, it's substantial. The game continues to be actively developed with no indication that the developer considers it feature-complete or is approaching a final release announcement.
