Tilesweeper

Tilesweeper launched on August 23, 2018 as a Minesweeper-style game with one theme (Castle). The store description explicitly states that "later new themes will be available as DLC," making additional content a stated developer commitment from day one. However, more than seven years after launch, no DLC themes have ever been released or even formally announced with a title or release window. The developer has been active in maintaining the game over the years — shipping feature patches in August 2018 (v1.2), October 2018 (v1.3), March 2019 (v1.4), and March 2023 (v1.5, which added leaderboards and expanded platform support), as well as announcing an Xbox release in July/August 2022. The most recent activity was a bug fix on January 21, 2024. As of June 27, 2026, there has been no developer communication for over two and a half years, and the promised DLC themes remain undelivered with no update or explanation. The store description still carries the original DLC promise, but there is no evidence the developer is actively working toward fulfilling it. This combination — an outstanding public commitment with an extended period of silence — makes the future of the promised content uncertain.
