Evaluation
Tiny Witch launched on September 1, 2023. After launch, the developer shipped a series of patches and improvements, culminating in a major v1.1.0 update on January 20, 2025 that added a long-promised Casual Mode, tutorial improvements, and 8 new languages. This was the feature the developer had been working toward since at least September 2023, when they first announced it was in development. Subsequent posts in 2025 and 2026 have been bug fix patches (v1.1.2 on May 12, 2025 and v1.1.3 on August 7, 2025) and a Nintendo Switch port announcement (August 28, 2025) — neither of which indicates new PC content is coming.
In January 2024, developer Ramon explicitly confirmed the team was back working on free updates, pointing specifically to Casual Mode and buff/debuff improvements — both of which shipped in the v1.1.0 update. That statement's commitments appear fully delivered.
Since the v1.1.3 bug fix in August 2025, Creative Hand's communications have focused entirely on their new projects: announcing Suitcase Stories in September 2025 and partnering with Abyssal Studios on Shapes of Memory (announced March 2026 with a demo available). No new content has been announced for Tiny Witch, and the developer has not indicated any further updates are planned. The two DLC items (original soundtrack and digital artbook) both released at launch and are the only DLC listed.
The established pattern — one major feature update followed by bug fixes, with the studio's attention now clearly shifted to new games — is consistent with a game that has reached the end of its content cycle. The most recent communication touching Tiny Witch itself was the v1.1.3 bug fix on August 7, 2025, with no new content hinted at since.
Evidence
v1.1.0 ships Casual Mode, tutorial improvements, smoother controls, and 8 new languages — fulfilling the commitments stated in the January 2024 update.
Developer confirms game is not abandoned and team is working on free updates including Casual Mode and improved buff/debuff feedback systems.
