The developer shipped the promised "2026.1 MEGA UPDATE" on August 11, 2026 — a massive final patch adding infantry systems, a new Shibuya map, a rebuilt input system, Steam Workshop support, and many other improvements. In the update post, the developer explicitly states: "So with previous and this update I can consider it now finished." He notes a couple of small bug fixes planned after summer, and mentions a console port, but frames those as minor cleanup rather than new content, and states he will then return his attention to his separate racing game (INITIAL D). The July 25, 2026 post had flagged a very small possibility of additional modes like zombie hordes if the update revived the community, but the August 11 post, which supersedes it, makes no such mention and instead declares the game finished. All three DLC packs were released in early 2019. The developer's full statement of completion, combined with all DLC having shipped years ago and no announced unshipped content, indicates the game is now a complete product.
