Touhou: Gensokyo Survivors

The developer, Xeloph, published a clear statement on December 26, 2024 announcing that development on Touhou: Gensokyo Survivors is finished. In that post, Xeloph explained being "fully committed to my next game" and having no time to continue working on TGS. As a result, the game's source code was released to the public on GitHub under an open-source license, allowing the community to create mods or derivative versions independently. This is a definitive end-of-development announcement — the developer has handed the project off entirely. Prior to this, the game received active post-launch support through late 2023, including a feature update (version 1.0.1 in June 2023 and version 1.0.2 in November 2023) along with several bug fix patches. However, no updates were released after November 2023, and the December 2024 open-source announcement confirms this silence was intentional — the developer had moved on to a new project. No additional content, DLC, or future updates have been announced or are expected.
