Touhou Kikamu ~ Elegant Impermanence of Sakura launched on April 16, 2020 as a complete Touhou Project fangame. In the weeks following launch, the developer shipped a series of patches addressing bugs, balance adjustments, and localization work (versions 1.01 through 1.0.6, between April 19 and June 1, 2020). The June 1, 2020 patch (version 1.0.6) was the last developer communication on record. The developer noted as far back as the version 1.03 patch notes (May 1, 2020) that "after this update, we expect no more changes unless fixing serious bugs," signaling the game was considered content-complete at that point. The only DLC — the game's soundtrack — released on May 1, 2020 and is the sole item in the DLC list, with no unreleased DLC entries. There have been no developer posts, announcements, or updates of any kind since June 1, 2020. The game launched as a finished product with post-launch activity limited to polish and localization work, all of which concluded by June 2020.
