Tower and Sword of Succubus launched on October 30, 2020 as an enhanced Steam version of two previously released Japanese games by Libra Heart. The publisher Critical Bliss added uncensored content, an original soundtrack, difficulty options, achievements, and quality-of-life improvements for the Steam release.
In the days immediately following launch (November 1–2, 2020), the developer addressed day-one bugs such as controller issues, false antivirus positives, and an ESC key problem. During that launch window, the developer noted intentions to add further QOL improvements and translations over time — as had been done with their other title, Midnight Castle Succubus.
The soundtrack DLC shipped on June 24, 2021, completing the promised content package. Both DLC items listed on the store (the bundled Succubus Hunter game and the soundtrack) are released. There have been no developer communications since November 2020 regarding new content, no announced roadmap, and no unreleased DLC on the store. The game appears to have shipped as a complete, self-contained package with no further content additions after the soundtrack release in June 2021.
