Evaluation

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter launched on Steam on September 16, 2026 — literally one day before today. The game is a story-driven RPG sequel to 1st Chapter, and its launch was announced in April 2026 with a firm release date confirmed for September 17, 2026. All 14 DLC items listed on the store, including a Season Pass, were released on September 17, 2026 — the same day as the game's launch. This is a notable detail: because everything (including the Season Pass) released simultaneously at launch, there is no concrete evidence of unshipped content that was promised but not yet delivered. The Season Pass and its bundled items appear to have been part of the launch package rather than a roadmap for future content. Pre-launch activity consisted of bug-fix patches for the demo (August 26 and September 3, 2026), indicating the developer was actively polishing the game before release. Because the game only just launched, there is no post-launch update history to draw from. It is too early to know whether the developer plans additional content beyond what has already shipped. The game's content status will become clearer in the coming months.

A Season Pass was released on the same day as the game itself, along with all 13 other DLC items — suggesting the Season Pass and its content were bundled as a launch-day package rather than a roadmap of future releases.
