Trash Goblin launched at version 1.0 on May 28, 2025 and has received six major free updates since: 1.1 "Spirit of Customer Service" (July 23, 2025), 1.2 "Steam Deck N Stuff" (September 30, 2025), 1.3 "Success for Donoval" (November 19, 2025), 1.4 "New Horizons" (March 4, 2026), 1.5 "Maker's Fortune" (May 7, 2026), and 1.6 (September 3, 2026). The 1.5 update also launched alongside the first paid story DLC, "The Artist of Brimhaven," and a cosmetic pack. The most recent developer post, published on September 3, 2026 — just one day before today's assessment date — makes the studio's plans explicit: update 1.7 is already in active development (though no release date has been announced), a new paid DLC is confirmed and described in some detail, and the developer has outlined a 2027 roadmap targeting meaningful updates approximately every 3 months alongside additional DLC and expansions.
