Ultrawings 2 launched on October 27, 2022 as a fully released VR aerial adventure game. Post-launch, Bit Planet Games focused primarily on hardware compatibility work — adding HOTAS (joystick controller) support and customization, expanding VR headset compatibility, and introducing cross-platform multiplayer. Multiplayer was the most significant post-launch addition, going live for PCVR players in April 2022 (before the full Steam launch) and officially launching across all platforms on May 6, 2022. Beyond multiplayer, post-launch updates have been almost entirely feature patches (controller/device support) and bug fixes rather than new gameplay content. The most recent developer communication is a bug fix post from August 14, 2023, addressing Warthog controller and Meta Quest Pro compatibility. There are no unreleased DLC listings on the store, no announced future content, no developer roadmap, and no posts indicating ongoing content development. The developer has not communicated any plans for additional content, and the update cadence since mid-2023 has gone silent entirely. A realistic physics simulation governs each aircraft. Although the aircraft's flight model is based off of its RL counterpart, liberties have been taken to make them uniquely fun to fly.
