Evaluation
Under the Blue Horizon launched on August 9, 2024, and received a flurry of bug fixes and small feature patches in the days immediately following release. The most significant post-launch development came on October 8, 2024, when the developer announced a companion game — "Under the Blue Horizon – Aquarium" — as a separate free title for existing owners. The developer explained this spin-off emerged from player feedback requesting a more relaxed, idle-focused experience, and that the game structure had diverged enough to warrant a separate release. The final recorded update for the base game was a bug fix patch on October 19, 2024.
There are no unreleased DLC listings, no roadmap commitments, and no developer statements indicating further content is planned for the base game. The companion game announcement on October 8, 2024 reads as a content diversion rather than a promise of new content within this title — the developer explicitly framed it as a separate game. Since October 19, 2024, there have been no further communications about this title. The development activity observed fits the pattern of a game that launched, received post-release polish, and has since reached a stable, complete state.
