UnderMine launched into full 1.0 release on August 6, 2020. At launch, Thorium described the game as a "complete product" while noting further updates were still planned. They delivered on that with the Royals Update (version 1.1.0) on December 24, 2020, which added a new zone, boss, enemies, and items — the last substantive content update the game received. The developer's own words confirm the game has been dormant since then. When UnderMine 2 launched into Early Access on July 22, 2025, Thorium explicitly noted "it's been four years since our last update to UnderMine," pinpointing the end of active development at roughly mid-2021 at the latest. All subsequent developer communications on this channel relate entirely to UnderMine 2 (updates in September 2025, December 2025, June 2026, and August 2026). A June 17, 2026 post even acknowledges that UnderMine 2 updates had been cross-posted to this channel and have since been separated. The only DLC ever released was the original soundtrack, which shipped on the same day as the 1.0 launch. No unreleased DLC exists, no roadmap for the original game has been announced, and the studio's focus is entirely on the sequel. UnderMine is a finished, complete game.
